HYPER JAPAN Festival 2019 opens its doors at 12 noon on Friday 12th July and right from the start it will be a fun-packed day of Japanese awesomeness for everyone!
The HYPER Live! Stage kicks off with a screening of the exciting anime ALL OUT!! followed by what promises to be an amazing performance by the incredible Naomi Suzuki!
At the same time over in the HYPER Kitchen, YO! Sushi will be presenting a sushi demonstration with a difference, Clearspring’s hugely talented chef, Jay Morjaria, will be preparing amazing Japanese food and Tsujiri will be giving away the secrets to making the perfect matcha.
After lunch the HYPER Live! Stage will host a fascinating show from Nintendo and then one of Japan’s most talented artists, creator of numerous iconic characters, Mitsuhiro Arita.
Later in the afternoon we welcome the super-mysterious IJEN KAI to the HYPER Live! Stage for their very first European performance and it really should be something to remember. While the musical mysteries are being revealed, SOZAI Cooking School will be showing us how to create a Japanese feast in the HYPER Kitchen followed by WAGASHI Japanese Bakery demonstrating their beautiful Japanese wagashi sweets.
IJEN KAI will be followed on stage by a very interesting talk and question and answer session with Harumi Shuhama, star of the hit Japanese film ONE CUT OF THE DEAD.
If the zombie-fest makes you hungry, it might be the perfect time to head to the HYPER Kitchen where Kikkoman will be demonstrating how to make the perfect authentic Hawaiian Poke Bowl.
As we head into the evening, Ultradark Tokyo idol group NECRONOMIDOL take to the stage for a much anticipated London show.
That fun-packed schedule will take us up to the final HYPER Live! Stage event of Friday – the HYPER Bon Odori!
